About MixDen

Where Passion Meets Precision

MixDen Studio is a premium audio facility in Reading, Berkshire, dedicated to helping artists achieve their sonic vision.

Our Story

Built for Records That Last

MixDen was founded on a simple principle: great music deserves world-class mixing and mastering. Built to serve high-end independent and label-backed artists, MixDen focuses on delivering records that stand up sonically, emotionally, and commercially.

The studio is designed around a bespoke hybrid workflow, where sound quality comes first. Rather than relying on a single console-centric approach, MixDen is built around a carefully curated collection of high-end analog outboard, paired with world-class conversion and monitoring to ensure absolute accuracy at every stage of the process. Equipment from industry-defining manufacturers such as SSL, Neve, and Empirical Labs is selected for one reason only: how it performs in real-world mixes and masters.

This signal path is supported by exceptional digital conversion and monitoring, allowing critical decisions to be made with confidence and precision. The result is a workflow that combines the depth, punch, and musicality of analog hardware with the control, recall, and consistency required by modern production.

MixDen is led by Peter Dowsett, a chart-topping producer, mixer, and mastering engineer with experience spanning major studios, international releases, and top-level live production. He is supported by a trusted team of engineers who share the same standards: technical excellence, musical instinct, and total respect for the artist's vision.

MixDen is not a preset-driven service or a one-size-fits-all workflow. Every mix and master is approached with intent, clarity, and purpose, creating records that translate everywhere, compete at the highest level, and still feel alive.

Lorence of London

Lorence of London

Mixer, Producer & Engineer

Lorence of London is the professional identity of UK-based mixer, producer, and engineer Lorence "George" Charter. George brings refined yet fearless approaches to contemporary production and mixing across both major-label and independent releases. His electronic music background informs a distinctive sonic signature emphasizing clarity, impact, and musical intent—characterised by pristine, open mixes with strong vocal emphasis, groove focus, and authoritative low-end presence. As a producer, Lorence of London crafts "raw, raucous, and often experimental" work balancing musicality with heavyweight sonics. Productions feature huge beats, thunderous frequencies, and are engineered for translation across club systems, radio, and streaming platforms. Beyond electronic-led work, George integrates modern electronic sonics into traditional formats including indie rock, pop, hard rock, metal, acoustic/ambient, and funk—resulting in genre-agnostic work with contemporary edge blending organic performance with modern production techniques. He specialises in styles demanding scale, energy, and hard-hitting mixes—productions designed to move dance floors or compete at chart level.

"Clarity, impact, and musical intent—every mix should hit hard and translate everywhere."
